Something with my rabbit

My bun was doing that for a few days before he passed away and only after he passed I thought about a possibility of gasping for air because he sounded like an old man trying to get air like a "hhuuh huhh" he lived pretty long for a pet store animal that wasnt fixed (10 yrs)

Omg that is a scary thought. DeSERG, I guess every situation is different but it's just best for you to go to the vet. Take care.

I completely agree with you. One thing I'm afraid of that stress can be fatal for him. He's so unsocial and cowardly and from the other side the vet, who's not against to take a risk of examine him, don't seem reliable to me. I'm afraid of it too.

Hi, I am sorry to hear the symptoms back again, what sounds completely strange to me that your vet prescribed full course of antibiotics without even being able to diagnose what is going on, just in case? Is there any other vet near you so you could ask for second opinion? Hope your rabbit will get better soon, please keep us updated

I know what you're talking about. My previous rabbit got the same problem. This time thanks God his breathing is ok. And, that's important, his appetite is ok. He eats hay and feed.
Zupper, first vet, that prescribed antibiotics, saw an edema on x-ray and she thought that it interfered him. Plus she thought that the reason of such behaviour can be a problem with his jaw ligaments, so she is afraid to damage him more, because rabbit don't allow to touch him, he's braking out.
Another vet I found on my city isn't afraid to exam him. He said like "don't worry. Ther are three vets here. He got no chance to break out. We'll fix him" And such approach scary me. They're indifferent to my rabbit.
But I see now that there's no any other way for me. I have to take this risk.

You mentioned the vet hasn't done a thorough check of the teeth. The xray seems to show a tighter closure on the left than the right as well. I really think JBun's advice above is right on the mark re: proper check of the molars. My bun had a spur that was cutting into her tongue and a dead tooth that the vet couldn't see until my bun was properly anesthetized and could get a good look. It was as simple as filing the tooth down to get rid of the painful spur. The dead tooth literally fell out when he touched it. It might solve the underlying issue with a good look at the teeth and prevent further guesswork and discomfort your bun may be in. Just another 2 cents, for what it may be worth. I really hope you are able to resolve it quickly - best wishes.
