Saturday is the day we are taking Biscuit to the shelter to do some bunny dating with a few females.

The shelter we are going to is a bunny rescue and they have many rabbits and it is about 2 hours away.
Biscuit will be riding in his hard plastic carrier to the shelter.

What should I bring for Biscuit? What should I just have with me?

I know that more than likely I will have his harness with me and obviously his hay.

First off, check out the link to safe car transportation. http://www.medirabbit.com/EN/Transport/Car/Car.htm
Next, I would bring a lunch box with some veggies, and maybe some banana. Bring a water bottle, hay, harness, pellets, baby food, a syringe, and critical care. The rescue should have everything else that you would need. I hope it goes well and that he finds the rabbit he is looking for!

If bunny is not used to car rides of that length, then just be sure there is hay in the carrier. Best to keep the trip as short as possible. Don't stop for breaks on the rabbit's account. It is better for bunny to just get the trip finished. When you arrive, you can put down a bowl of water too.

Once there, the rescue will guide you. There should be no reason to offer any fruit or treats. In fact, it is best to avoid any excess sugar when a rabbit is stressed. Stress alone can lead to GI issues, adding extra sugar can only make it worse. I'd stick with hay and regular greens.

For a day trip, there should be no reason to be using critical care or syringe feeding. Those items are useful to have in an emergency kit if car breaks down and the trip turns into days.

Bringing a harness is ok, but not needed nor necessary. A rabbit shouldn't be harnessed when meeting another rabbit.

More than likely we will not be stopping unless we need gas. I will be sure to bring his regular meals and hay. Thanks for the help!
