hi guys, so my rabbit has been acting kinda weird the past few days. she eats and poops normally, but often just seems uncomfortable. she flopped next to me today, but at other times just sits in one place. her poops have some hair here and there and there was only 1 time where 2 poops were connected by hair.

she will not, I repeat refuses to, let me brush her. she has never shown a single sign of aggression but both times i tried to brush her she GRUNTED AND LUNGED at the brush. she's shedding an absurd amount so i've honestly just been petting her and pulling out loose hairs with my hands.

does this behavior seem normal for a shedding rabbit/ does anyone have pointers for getting this hair off her bc I genuinely cannot brush her??????????

Dampen your hand once or twice a day and run it over her. And it is a good thing that she is passing what she is ingesting. You could also give her some fresh pineapple or papaya or some canned pumpkin (Not pumpkin pie filling) to make sure she is passing all of it.

The hair in the poop is normal in that amount, because it is not excessive. But you really need to figure out a way to groom her because if she digests a lot of hair it can make her very sick. This happened to one of my rabbits last year. Another trick to try might be lightly plucking while she eats. With my rabbit, I would give him pellets and just pull out the loose fur while he was eating. Also try putting the bunny on a high place (like bathroom sink) where it is harder for her to escape. Good luck!
