It is absolutely freezing in England at the moment. 7° C. Okay, maybe not freezing but it’s really cold in my house because of my rabbit. I know that rabbits tolerate cold better than heat so I’ve kept the heater off in my room since I’ve had Apollo. I’m cold but Apollo doesn’t mind at all. My question is, can I turn my heater on? If not, then I’ll just keep a hoodie on and wrap up in my blanket.

Edit: he was an outside rabbit when I adopted him in November (so it was really cold) which is why I kept the heater off. I also don’t want him to get burnt by it.

Sure, turn your heater on, there's no point in ending up in hospital with pneumonia.
Getting a rabbit into heated indoors isn't that big a problem, he might shed his winter coat, but if he isn't going to be an outdoor bunny again this winter that doesn't matter. Meanwhile he'll find cool spots to lounge.

The other way round, from warmth with no winter coat out into freezing weather, that wouldn't be so great.

Here, it's really freezing, at least during the night, my rabbits are indoors during the night but can go outside during the day if they like. I have it rather cool in my house too, 15-16°C ( I heat with wood, I'm not at home during the day, and it's an old house), that is really no problem for the rabbits. Bringing rabbits from 26° to well below freezing and back would be hard on them, but that isn't what you're doing anyway.

Funny, today it had about 7-8°, was sitting outside, reading, with no shirt, great weather :D

Lol I use to do the same thing I would layer up on clothes when I’m inside the house. I thought it would be bad that I turned on the heater, your bunny will be fine turn it on it’s cold [emoji38] but I don’t let get to to hot.

Thanks! I put a towel around it (because it’s a radiator) so he won’t get burnt. The top of the heater let’s put heat but the bottom is covered, because when I’m getting his treats he stand up on it. And I put the heater on 4 (not too hot but still warm) :)

We adopted 2 outdoor buns in Oct ( Uk) and brought inside- I too worried about heat so kept them in cool room, but when I put heat on to take chill off they always sleep under radiators ! So think they like it warmer- not she’d their coats either so feel heat is ok. They’ll be fine with heat- make sure there is plenty of cool water maybe
