Hi so I have no idea if my lion head is bonding with me I will pet him when he is laying down he let's me but hasn't come up to me yet for pets yet he hasn't binked either he mostly just stays under my bed sleeping most of the time is it cause I've only had him for 2 weeks or could it be that he just dosent like me ?
I would have said just give him a few more months, for just 2 weeks your rabbit does great.
I kind of have a feeling that there's a little misconception or some not exactly right expectations about an average human-rabbit relationship, anyway, patience - you both will learn
Did you have rabbits before? It took quite some time, years actually, to properly read their expressions, moods, behaviour etc., and I'm not done with learning.
That is pretty normal rabbit behavior. He is just scared and needs time to warm up to you. The best thing you could do is start small, sit or lay down by his area, don't touch him or make any sudden movements. Let him just really get used to you and explore. Start sharing a treat with him daily, make it a routine, so take an apple once a day or a banana, take a bite and let him have some nibbles. Sharing food with your bun is truly a big bonding experience. Eventually he will see you aren't some big scary predator and will start learning to trust you, each apple at a time (that was so cheesy but true lol) I had to do this with my male bun, it took him 4-5 months to finally warm up, he had a really rough past so I'm so proud of him for even warming up that quick. Some rabbits take longer to do things like babies! Every rabbit is different but when you finally get their trust and love it's the best feeling in the world. I now have a bunny that licks my face constantly and sleeps next to me and binkies everywhere. It's so amazing to watch and I'm so thankful that he is in my life! You will feel the same way also, each little milestone he hits! Don't give up
