does anyone have experience with having a bunny with liver lobe torsion? My bunny had a liver value come back as abnormal on a blood test and I couldn’t get an appointment for xrays and ultrasound until next month. This appointment is already going to cost over 700$ and I’m so afraid she’ll need surgery on top of this.

The only symptom I’ve noticed is excessive drinking and thirst. We did a urine test and that came back normal.

Why are they not able to do xrays asap? Any vet should be doing these at the same time. Ultrasound i could understand if they dont have their own machine.
If it is a torsion that is not something that can wait a month. The rabbit wouldn't survive

My vet didn’t actually recommend x-rays, she recommended ultrasound. But when I called to make the ultrasound appointment at a university they said it’s protocol to do both. They didn’t have an opening until 2 weeks after I called and I’m going out of town on Saturday. I don’t think it’s that since she eats/poops completely normally (including hay) but I’m just so worried I don’t know what it could be
