My female rabbit is 1 year old and she started showing signs of a uti cause i had 2 female rabbits already had this so we took her to the vet and they said it was a uti and she was showing symptoms of not pooping, peeing or drinking but she was eating and once we got the 2 medicine which i can't remember the name of but she is still on one and she had a yellow light brown creamy suck to her bottom is that from the uti? But she's eating poop drinking and peeing regular now.

Maybe you should contact your Vet. I don’t have much experience with female rabbits as 4 out of the five rabbits I’ve owned over the past 17 years were males. The current rabbit I’v had the past 3 years is a female but she is spayed and I haven’t had issues with her having a UTI. Hopefully someone that has had experience with rabbits having a UTI may comment. The brown yellow stuff may be poop since they are on medicine. Since you are concerned you should contact your Vet and let them know how they are reacting to the treatment and the things you observe about your rabbit’s symptoms.

It could be poop but i have experience diarrhea with bunny's before and usually it has a bad smell which this doesn't have a smell at all and i have to wait till Monday for our vet to come back but i haven't experienced it again hopefully it was a one time thing

I too hope that it was a one time occurrence. I hope your bunny feels better soon! Keep me updated please :)

Sounds like it could be bladder sludge, which can also cause uti's in rabbits.

If it is bladder sludge, a low calcium diet is often recommended to help prevent calcium build up in the bladder.

I haven't seen it again but when rabbits have a sludge does their pee always come out that way?

Yes , when rabbits have a bladder sludge problem their pee will have sludge or a yellow brown sandy like substance that comes out each time they urinate. This condition causes a lot of pain and discomfort. It can also become worse if left untreated. Bladder Sludge can be a chronic problem for some bunnies as they may be prone to it reoccurring and for others could mean just a change up in diet will help clear things up. In either situation a low calcium diet is recommended to improve the situation and if it’s chronic medications can be prescribed by the Vet to help manage symptoms and make life comfortable for your bunny. But usually if chronic more testing is needed to find/rule out other probable causes of the sludge issue.

Maybe it was poop or some sludge. If she hasn’t pooped or peed in a 8 to 12 hour time frame then take her to the Vet or at least call them. If the sludge was a one time occurrence that was okay. Sludge could also develop from not being active. If your bunny doesn’t get a lot of exercise or play time that could affect their bladders to build sludge too. Not only their diet.

I’m not sure about the bok Choy or bell peppers but I do know that spinach is high in calcium. I would cut the spinach out of their diet. Look up other vegetables that are high in calcium for rabbits and avoid them completely.

Monitor your rabbit closely. Encourage her to eat the Timothy Hay, food pellets and drink water. If she starts sounding gassy then give her baby gas drops or symethicone. If she becomes worse and or stops eating or drinking, contact your Vet as soon as possible.

She's a free roam bunny and finally she pooped and ate and I'll avoid the spinach so im wondering is parsley high in calcium?

Yes it is higher in calcium. I didn't feed it to my bladder sludge prone bun because I noticed it increased the calcium sediment in his urine.

If you look at the link I shared above, it gives info on high calcium veg.

What have you found helpful in caring for your bladder sludge prone bunny? My current bunny has reoccurring bladder sludge problems, I’m curious to know what else I can do to help her.

Lots of low calcium veg, like romaine and green leaf lettuce is good because it adds a lot of fluid to the diet but not much calcium, provided it doesn't cause mushy poop issues. Use a low calcium pellet, might even need to limit that amount if it is still contributing to bladder sludge. And lots of running around, and especially hopping up and down off of things, to help churn up those bladder contents for easier expulsion, so the sediment doesn't settle to the bottom of the bladder and build up.
