Hi, I recently purchased a baby mini lop from a breeder. He is 11weeks old now but I’ve only had him a week. Last night he went weird and started shaking his head, running circles and falling over. His eyes were twitching crazily so I obviously panicked and took him to an emergency vet within an hour. I don’t think they’re very rabbit savvy as she had to call a specialist for advice. She advised specialist care which could cost 1000’s of £s and with him not being insured at the moment as I’ve had him such a short time this is impossible for us to pay. We decided to try antibiotics as plan B and I took him back to the vets this morning. His symptoms are much better and isn’t losing his balance much now but his eyes are still twitching but only slightly and slowly. I have him on liquid feed from a syringe which as soon as he tastes he starts to lick himself but he won’t touch his hay/pellets/water.
I have to take him back tomorrow if he hasn’t started to eat on his own. She also told me his ear drum has ruptured

please can anyone advise on what I can do? Or if anyone has experienced the same in such a baby rabbit. It’s my first bun and I am not experienced at all with rabbits so thought I’d seek advice here. I’m worrying sick. He’s an indoor rabbit and has been amazing until now - sleeping on me and licking me and showing all signs of a happy bunny.

thanks in advance!!!

UPDATE: George is eating on his own and seems to be back to being the happy bunbun I know but he is on Baytril and I’m worried this won’t be enough to treat his ear infection and don’t want him to go back to how he was Wednesday evening.. his poos are starting to be more formed but I can still slightly squish them with my fingers (gross I know). He is also on anti inflammatory meds and some Zantac which I guess was to help with him eating. I don’t want to get too hopeful but I can’t help it seeing how well he is doing.
someone please help or advise or share some stories of similar situations.

I have attached pictures of my little George - yea he thinks his litter tray is his bed xD but litter training is last of my worries right now!
