Neurotic individual here. I was eating applesauce minding my own business when Rémy decided to rudely take a few licks off my spoon. I didn’t think about it but then googled ascorbic acid for rabbits and apparently it’s really not good?! The applesauce was organic with no added sugar but has ascorbic acid as a preservative. Should I be worried? Rémy has in the past proven to have a stomach of steel after devouring a toddler fist sized hole in my yoga mat. But I’m neurotic so I have to ask... is he going to be ok??

Ascorbic acid is just vitamin C. It's found naturally in a lot of greens and plants that are fed to rabbits, it should be fine imo. The sugars of applesauce are probably the bigger thing to worry about, but with just a few licks it probably isn't a problem, I wouldn't think

Thanks for answering my freak outs. It is much appreciated! Google is my worst enemy. Everything is death on that search engine.
