How to Deal With Mess?

hi! i recently got 2 new bunnies after my last bunny passed away. they live in a large cage attached to an exercise pen so they always have room to run and play, but they always make a LOT of mess? i don’t mind inside the enclosure as i clean every day anyway, but they’ve got into a habit of getting pee all around the pen? i’m not sure how they do it, but around the sides of the pen they splash pee onto the floor, sometimes quite far out so sometimes it gets on the things in my room! any advice?

Are they fixed? They seem to not be potty trained?
If they are not trained, they should be set up with a litter box inside their cage. Then they cage floor should have no other loose bedding. They should remain caged (not allowed in pen) until they consistently use the litter box.

they used to use a litter box when they were just in the cage, but now i’ve let them in the pen they’ve stopped using it. i’ve tried retraining them by keeping them in the cage but they are so noisy and chew the cage bars until i let them out. i don’t mind this in the day but at night it makes it hard to sleep and especially now i’m at college it’s not really an option

Hi, how old are they? Are they males or females, are they fixed?
I guess not fixed because what you see might be they keep spraying walls and it just goes through the panels, they can spray really far, 1-2 metres and very high too.
If you can put a cardboard behind your playpen panels you will have it all sprayed probably but you won't have urine outside your playpen. Or cover it with blankets, but one of my rabbits, actually more than one, like to play with blankets outside the panels and one of them worked so hard over about one week to get a good piece of it inside and then worked hard again to separate it from the main blanket. The blanket itself was well fixed so it was real fun and in a couple weeks she had her own made small blanket she used as mat and generally loved playing with it, it was all perforated ) Kept her busy and happy for a couple weeks, sadly I didn't film it it was so funny she was kinda arguing with this piece of fabric looked more like a dog )
