Hi is my first time having a rabbit but. Did a lot of research and that but holly hawk has been spayed for about 3 weeks or more now and is still spraying not as often as he did but still spraying and a side question I feel like holly hawk doesn’t want to be a pet like he’s got it good I mean he’s been happy before he turned 1 but now he’s kinda not as playful or happy and I feel like he wants to go out into the wild be free but I know he will probably die since we had him since he was a baby and he won’t be able to survive on his own but I don’t want holly hawk to be sad plus he’s not eating kale he said been eating hay I posted something like this yesterday on the general discussion do any of you know what I can do or that pls I really need some advice

(Btw I’m only 13 I don’t have a job and I can pay for the vet but if there was anything I could do that would work pls suggest that if I really need to I will pay for the vet if holly Hawk is in pain or that) thanks

its possible that he has developed some bad habits regarding spraying. it can take some time for it to go away. o_O

you're right about him not being able to survive in the wild. its never a good idea to release a domesticated rabbit. they can be killed very quickly. :(

are you spending time with him? does he have enough toys to play with? rabbits are very smart and need to be stimulated. ;)

if he's not eating normally, it is a good idea to take him to a vet to make sure he's ok.

Holly hawk doesn’t play with toys like I put a teddy bear or a ball he doesn’t play but if I put it right by him he throws it and I’ve also noticed he’s chest I pat him on his chest like below his chin that area a lot of hair comes and off and do rabbits need hay where ever they go and what food would u suggest cause I planted some spinach and I’m feed him it but he won’t eat it not even trying to throw it away or dig at it he just moves right to another area

Foods high in calcium such as spinach and kale are not good to feed your rabbit regularly since it can cause problems with calcium buildup in their bladder. Spend more time with your rabbit. Hair coming out is Normal this time of year. Rabbits shed two different times a year to grow their new coat for the next two seasons of the year then they shed again. Rabbits grow and shed their winter coat and their summer coat. Sometimes after a pet is neutered it can take 6 to 8 weeks for their hormones to calm down. Maybe that’s why your rabbit is still spraying despite being neutered. Make sure your rabbit has a lot of Timothy hay every day and give them plain rabbit pellets for food twice a day depending on their weight. Also they need fresh greens such as Romain lettuce and Cilantro in their diet depending on their weight. Is your bunny free to roam around your house? Or do you take them out on different days of the week?
