Rabbit is loosing all her fur, help!

hello all,
My almost two year old rabbit is loosing a crazy amount of fur. Just when I pet her with my hand like normal a lot of fur comes out. She is a silver fox rabbit and she has been spayed. I don’t see her scratching or grooming more than normal so I’m not sure why this happening. She’s loosing all her gray fur though, not really her black fur which is weird. She’s always had a bare spot on her neck near her head, but I didn’t think anything of it as she has always had it and I’ve seen other rabbits like that. It’s only noticeable when you “pull” her skin back like petting her.

Is it possible she has fleas or mites?

Have you taken her to a rabbit-savvy DVM?

If you aren't seeing any dandruff, scaling, irritation to the skin, or flea dirt, then she may just be going through a heavy shed. Some rabbits will molt more quickly like that, where they shed clumps of fur, instead of a slow gradual shed.

My rabbit riv would shed big clumps on his back to where they’d be bald or extremely short. Also make sure she isn’t ingesting all of that fur.

Sorry for not responding, it’s been hectic over here lol. She’s was treated for fleas/ticks a while ago and she has no contact at all with any animals that may have them. I don’t think there is a rabbit DVM anywhere near me. She hasn’t lost anymore fur, just that area on her back. The fur there is very soft now and I don’t see any irritation or Dan drift. I make sure to brush them 2-3 times a week and I’m constantly sweeping up fur because of my allergies lol
