Every bunny I’ve had has never molted . Squishy barely sheds. But I have a rescue bun and she is shedding heavily. Like I touch her and clumps of hair comes out , new new undercoat is soooo soft . She hates to be touched so I am wondering how I can brush her without getting attacked and stressing her too bad. As I don’t want her ingesting so much hair.

I’ve had a couple heavy shedders. My best advice would be to wrap her in a towel or teach her to be OK with being held, then use a soft fine-bristle brush. Giving her a special treat like banana will help reinforce that it’s a good thing :) I normally brush mine once or twice during the course of a big shed.

If she’s a longhair bunny, you can also trim her right before a big shed to limit the amount of long hairs that she’s eating. I do that with my lionhead.
