Picky Doe's Hay Discontinued!

My doe *only* eats Small Pet Select's orchard medley hay, which I just found out is discontinued (The farmer they got this from retired, so it's not SPS's fault. They're hoping they can find a new supplier...)

Does anyone lace in alfalfa to their grown rabbits' regular hay to keep them eating?

My doe's naturally chubby (okay, she's fat), but she also has a history of molar spurs -- and keeping her snout buried in clover-laced hay resolved that issue. Now I need a new solution to keep her interested in hay.

I adopted her at 3.5 years old, so I don't know her history, but she's never shown interest in plain timothy hay at all. She eats oats, but not oat hay (she'll just pick out the oats and leave the rest). The clover-laced orchard medley kept her super interested in the tasty clover, and she'd end up eating some of the hay in the meantime.

I want to keep her weight under control as much as possble, but my primary concern is keeping her eating hay for dental health, even if she'll never be a rabbit bikini model.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

I buy my hay at a farm and garden store. It comes in a square bale, 40 pounds? I always ask for grass hay, but sometimes it comes laced with alfalfa or clover. I pick out the alfalfa if there is a lot of it. A little alfalfa isn't a problem, but I don't want my rabbits to overdo it. Alfalfa is easy to pick out. I put the hay in a tin garbage can, and the crumbs fall to the bottom. The alfalfa leaves crumble and fall off easily. The stems of the alfalfa have a different feel from grass, and I can pick them out by feel. I heard that clover is supposed to be about the equivalent of alfalfa, but for some unknown reason, it has never caused a problem with my rabbits. I also have a baby scale, so I can weigh my rabbits to make sure that they are not gaining weight when I switch over to a new bale.

Myself buy hay from nearby farmers, my bunnies love those. I stock up with hay bales of 30 pounds at home. I have one picky hay eater at home, so myself have gone through a lot of store bought hay but hay directly from farmers and this season my bunnies love those all the time.
