Hello

I've noticed that my six months old rabbit has small drooping then normal and darker. It's look like olive with a tail in it and much dryer. His eating habits is very normal and acting too. Also his stomach is gurgling all the time but not in loud noises, I only can hear it when I put my ear on his belly so I gave him Simethicone when the noises get louder.

So as long as I live in Iraq which means there is not any kind of hay or dry food delivery or pets stores or vets known anything about rabbits, I'm alone with internet only.

I'm stuck with fruit maybe much then supposed to be, vegetables and try to put grass in his diet in spit he doesn't like eating it because the previous owner didn't give him grass or hay but only Clover but I try and I'm afraid of him developing IG.

Is his dropping normal? It's three days know Or he is showing IG symptoms?
Am I doing something wrong?

Take a picture to show, so it will be easier for us to see.

Best would be that your bunny could slowly get used with grass and leafy greens you have in your country. Fruits are really unhealthy for bunnies also vegetables like corn, carrots and so on are unhealthy.

Your bunny need a diet that have a lot of fiber in it ^^

Hope everything goes well with your bunny.

Thanks for answering me

I give as in vegetables parsley and basil only and banana and apple and grape that all I give it to him also grass.

That tail thing can be because of fur, rabbits molt from time to time and ingest the fur when cleaning themself, sometimes the poops are even connected to strings. That's normal so far, but more rough fiber, like grass, in his diet would help to make sure the hair gets out of his system better.

You can help there a little by brushing lose fur off him - I just use my hands, slightly wet works good. No hard brushes, rabit skin is way more delicate than that of dogs or cats.

Judging from the picture it’s fur, your bunny get into the system and the droppings are quite small and dark. So he need a more fiber rich diet. Maybe you can find some pellets with high fiber value in them.

Otherwise grass and different leafy greens are good ^^

Parsley should you only feed moderately, because they have a high calcium value. So if you ever see changes in your bunnies urine looking a bit white/ roily (not quite sure it’s that which I’m thinking in my own language). You should take everything with calcium away.

But bunnies perfectly can survive on a diet with just grass, herbs and different leafy greens [emoji4]

Thanks guys for your helping I really appreciate that :)
