Help! My Lop has pee pee butt and I don’t know what to do! I try to clean her each morning, but her bum takes so long to dry. I do clean her cage and litter box daily. Her fur is just so long! Her poops are normal. It’s just her pee that sticks on her tail. I really hope to figure this out soon. Any advice? Thanks so much!

Is her bum fur getting soaked? Are you noticing if she is dribbling urine as she hops around, or if she is having pee accidents outside the litter box when normally she wouldn't have? Is she actually sitting in any puddles of pee?

She has a plastic grill litter box, so she doesn’t sit in any puddles. I haven’t noticed her dribbling urine as she hops. I just think her fur is so thick and it could be the way she sits ‍♀️ Can I shave some fur around that area for just a trim, or would that be too stressful for her?

Do you notice her having any difficulty peeing? Does she seem to sit there and strain at all when she's trying to pee? Usually a rabbit shouldn't be getting urine on their fur if their environment is clean, and if they are it usually means there is some sort of problem. Like she could have a urinary tract infection and is dribbling urine onto her fur. That's why I'm asking all these questions. Does she always have damp fur down there or is it just happening once in a while?

This morning it was not damp down there, but I have noticed it that way at least three times, including two days prior. We just saw the vet a week ago and she didn’t notice anything, but that day was the first day we noticed her pee pee butt and the vet showed no concern.

--corn starch is good for clean up.

Like, rubbing into the fur? Doesn't that get clogged up?

Trimming the fur sure is a good idea, I would need a second person to do it. When your rabbit is used to being handled stress shouldn't be a problem, just have a treat ready.
