Do you have a favorite among your buns?

Hello fellow bunny lovers

I wonder if you have a favorite among your buns, that you are more attached to.

Myself own 3 bunnies and the free roaming indoor bunny I’m more attached to than my outdoor bunnies.

Can’t help being a little more biased, because I’ve had him since he was a tiny kit and he lived with me in my student apartment during that time. So he was my close friend and roommate for a year.

I try not to have a favorite, but considering I've had Bugs for almost a year and Lola (who will be exchanged next week for a different bun due to bonding issues) for a few weeks, it's hard not to favor Bugs. I do like things about their personalities more than the other's though. For example, Bugs is so snuggly and absolutely adores me while Lola doesn't seem to like me at all. Lola does seem to be a bit smarter than Bugs. She will push her blanket over her frozen water bottle when she doesn't want to use it and will dig it up when she does. Bugs just chews holes in his, getting water everywhere.

I'm also biased to my rabbit that lived with me in my student apartment ; )
Bambi isn't as much of a cuddler as her mother and sister, but she is just such a well behaved girl. She does rabbit hopping (similar to agility) with me, and loves to just walk around on her leash (she picks it up in the mouth and carries it along with us). She comes to pet store and book store with me, and has the time of her life there. She's just down for any adventure, and she listens well too - I just have to tap on her cage to get her to go back inside it (and admittedly, the ease of putting her up means she gets to spend more time outside than the other rabbits). She also loves to play tug and fetch, but she hasn't quite mastered the latter - I throw something, then she runs and picks it up, and tries to throw it back at me. She gives kisses as well. Besides that, she is a gorgeous Himalayan - she's got all her winnings to be a grand champion (I just need to send in the paperwork) and she won reserve best in show a few months ago.

Understand what you say, I also try not to have a favorite among my bunnies, but can’t help be more attached to little Odin more because he have always lived next to me.

My doe is much more outgoing & people-friendly than my stoic & reclusive buck. Because of her personality, I tend to spend more time with her: petting her, talking to her, and just hanging out with her (she's usually downstairs in the dining room area, whereas my buck prefers lounging underneath the bed). The doe runs to me and circles my feet when I get home every day.

That said, I wouldn't say I favor one over the other. They're just... different. Which is okay. It's kind of a pecking order: my doe gets attention and grooming by me, and the buck gets attention and grooming by the doe. (Yeah, pretty sure that puts me at the bottom of the social hierarchy, lol.)

What's important to me is that they're both happy and able to express their true personalities

I have two buns and I like certain things about each. Thumper, a female (unspayed) black and white holland lop x mini rex has a really sweet personality she loves to give kisses, comes when called and is super curious but you can have her on your lap and just cuddle she won't hold still. She's litter trained unless she's angry that she can't get into a specific room because the door is closed or if I've been cuddling with the other bun she sometimes comes and pees on me.

Peter (male, neutered), our holland lop is not litter trained, we've tried everything, he isn't very active, he kind of just stays in one small area (thank god, with the not being litter trained) he doesn't give kisses or come when called but you can put him on your lap and pet him for hours and he'll just happily stay there so he has a much more low key personality, you can also pick him up and walk around and he won't struggle which makes nail clipping etc really easy. He is very smelly though, for some reason his scent is much stronger than Thumpers.

I've had Thumper since she was 8 weeks old, and we got Peter unexpectedly (his owners were just going to 'set him free') a few months ago, but he's cost us nearly $2000 in vet bills as he had never eaten hay in his life and had never had his nails trimmed so he was in pretty bad shape when we adopted him. So I'm attached to both, Thumper because she's been with me since she was a baby and I just adore her personality, and Peter and I bonded because he was so sick so I was up with him a lot, syringe feeding etc.

I have 4 lionheads, and I love them all so much but I can’t help but have Lionel my first, as my favourite. He gets excited to see me in the morning and runs around his pen like a mad man! He is the most cuddly and sensitive and I can’t help but feel he loves me more than the others do!

I have 2 Netherland Dwarf babies, 8 weeks and 10 weeks, and I have to say that my little buck Gray Goose (10 weeks) is my favorite. He is so mellow and sweet and gentle and I adore his coloring. He's a Siamese smoke pearl marten. My doe, Butterscotch Schnapps, came home a complete spitfire! She has so much energy and never seems to sit still. She's the climber, chewer, and escape artist. I didn't even know rabbits could climb until she was suddely outside of their 24" high play pen! I had to order enclosed cages and taller play pens just for her. Goose never even tried to escape, he just contentedly played with his toys and munched his hay. I think what really gave me a soft spot for Goose was the way he melted at Butterscotch's little paws the moment she came home. He had been alone for a week. He was instantly completely enamored with her. He sat outside her cage and groomed her nose and paws, munched her hay, watched her sleep. Ohmygoodness it was so sweet. He followed her around everywhere when I briefly let them share a play pen. They are now separated until they can be spayed/neutered and they sleep side by side on their one shared wall (double barred and an inch of space between to prevent sneaky breeding). I know their personalities will change as they mature and I look forward to getting to know them through all the changes but for now Goose is hands down my favorite.

I can perfectly understand that most try not to have favorites among their pets. But sometimes one of them manage to attach more in the heart.

Myself love all of my bunnies, they are all super cuddly bunnies which I can handle however I want.

Their personalities fit perfectly to a lazy person as me, that have a huge weakness for fluffy pets [emoji23]

I can literally hug them and fall asleep with my buns. I’ve managed to fall asleep when I cuddled with them.

In my opinion bunnies are one of my favorite pets. Because I can always find an inner peace spending my time with them.

If I had a favorite--we have rescued 47 over the years--I'd have to say it was my avatar Nikki. She was fun, pesty and downright strange sometimes. She'd sleep anywhere, even in her hay rack, and loved attention and going where she wasn't supposed to. She was 3 pounds of cuteness. Also, Serena, a 20 pound Checkered Giant--she was a lap bunny and loved to be held and rubbed.
