I’m wanting to make a little playpen/sleeping space for my bunnies so they are locked up in the cage as much as have a little more freedom. I’m just wondering if anyone has any ideas for this?

I have carpet in my apartment and they like to dig that up and they like to go to the bathroom wherever, so what are some things I can put under them to avoid them digging up carpet or having their urine go into the carpet? I’ve tried training them to going into their litter box but they just go wherever, so any ideas for that as well would be great!

Here is my converted XL dog crate, with fleece foor & shelf.

I used 32" xpens (made for small dogs) when I first got my rabbits.

Ha, I have the same issue. I buy rugs from the local store when they go on sale. The ones with rubber backings are best for keeping urine from soaking through onto your carpet. Make sure the fabric isn't made with loops -- rabbits destroy those very quickly because they're so easy to chew.

I have carpet throughout most of my home, and probably 15 rugs on top of the carpet in various rooms.

Oh, also: ceramic tiles work well in corners of rooms. You can buy different size tiles in tons of colors/designs, and they're like a dollar each.

Here's what my first rabbit's setup looked like when I brought him home: Rug on top of carpet with xpen on top of rug.
