MY RABBIT FELL DOWN THE STAIRS I AM THE WORST

Floyd just learned how to brave the stairs literally YESTERDAY and this morning when i let him out he immediately whizzed up them all excited. I was like awe that's so cute and followed him up.
I have 2 fights of stairs so he went back down 1 flight and was checking out my shoe rack.
I thought oh well i shoulg get him more hay and without thinking went really fast down the stairs. I think Flo got excited because i heard a thump thump of him coming down the stairs quite quickly and then he must have lost his footing or hopped too far out because he thuds down the steps and lands at the bottom with a little slide!!

I immediately went to see if he was ok, my heart stopped. At first he wanted to run from me but then he let me cradle his head in both my hands and rub his face checking for injuries. He made no sounds of pain or anything. I can't feel anything out of place or feeling wrong... he currently isn't favouring any limbs and is eating his hay happily. He even had the nerve to Go Back Up The Stairs!!!!

My soul is telling me he is ok but i have read that injuries could appear tomorrow?
What should i do? Am i being dumb thinking he's ok?

If he acts normal and still happy, you don’t have to worry. It’s true bunnies are great at hiding their pains.

I have had many frights with my indoor bunny, from closing a door on his pawn, to accidentally kicking him when I walk.

Myself had my bunny fall down from a high table when I wasn’t looking.

Nothing happened, only a little confused bunny and last time he jumped up on that table.

Maybe you can make the stairs a little more safe for your bun or block the stairs. So he can only jump up and down during supervision.

But keep an eye on how he acts and eat, if he start to act not normal for example being more lazy and laying around. Maybe take to a vet to see, that everything’s okay.
