Hi!
Drake had a stringy poop today. It was two poops held together by fur. He is still eating and drinking. I'm really worried about this. Do I have to take him to the vet, or am I worrying for no reason? Please help.

Please help!!! Drake is my best friend. I've only had him for a month. I can't lose him. My dog wants nothing to do with me..... If this is something concerning, I don't know what I would do without Drake....

Hello,
I'd suggest giving him more grass/timothy hay (if he's not on unlimited hay) and/or a higher fiber diet. That fur in his poop can be a warning that he might have extra fur in his digestive system, and so you want to make sure he has a high fiber diet to move all that fur out of him. Keep a good eye on him, as well, to make sure he continues eating and doesn't go into bloat.

He is unlimited hay and I checked he didn’t have more. What a relief. Will give him more and make sure he eats more

Two poops together is nothing to worry, and normal. They groom themself, and they can't digest fur, so that's what's happening, it must get out somewhere, I get whole Lisa Simpson Necklaces sometimes. If the hair wouldn't get out that would be the thing to really worry about (blockade).
Lots of hay and fiber helps to get the hair out since it produces more poop than pellets or other high calorie stuff, or low fiber stuff like salads.

So, your rabbit is shedding, what you can do is brush as much lose fur from him as is feasable without him complaining too much, just petting, or slightly damp hands work, or there are special rubber gloves. No hard brushes, rabbits have rather delicate skin.
I start at the front end, since they don't tolerate much meddling with their rears.
