One of my two baby dwarfs, a doe and a buck (11 weeks now). Suddenly the buck started pooping outside of the litter box 3 days ago. He usually had some poops outside the box but not to the extent that im seeing now, its a huge difference. Around the same time his poop started smelling extra foul too, and seems darker, does anyone know what is happening or why? Is it the hormones? I was told about now would be the time to separate them, and I just did yesterday, and now they are often trying to mate when i let them out of the cage to play.

Do not let them out together, it' not playing that's on their mind, they can mate in mere seconds. There is no point dangling that carrot in front of his nose, just gets him agited and her annoyed (or pregnant, the are fast.
11 weeks is imho high time to seperate dwarfs, when he tries to mate now they quite likely did it before, although it's imho not really very likely that the doe is already old enough yet I still would keep that on mind and an eye on her for the next month, better being prepared than sorry.

Yes, litter habits can get worse when puberty is in full swing. That doesn't explain stinky poop. Did anything change in their diet? Is all the poop stinky, or could it be excess cecotropes (those do stink)?
What and how much of what do you feed them?
If his food intake ,amount of poop or behaviour changes I would gather up some samples and see the vet, if there's really a problem like enteritis you can't act too early.

Not really any changes in diet. Maybe a higher intake of cardboard bc my bun thebun but found more ways to destroy is and chew and eat it. Also the buck did start sneezing like one or two days before that, specially in his litterbox but usually outside too! Often its in like bouts, and the odd lone sneeze. I don't see any discharge from the nose or eyes though.
