Hi!
I’ve been noticing my bunny is getting bored while I am at school. His cage is small and I want to build a bigger cage for him as a summer project. He is a outdoor bunny. My friend told me that to build a bunny shed with a run, it is about 1,000 dollars. Any ideas on CHEAP bunny shed options? We just got bun a new cage and my parents don’t want to get a new one...

Does he need to be outside, or can he be inside somewhere? Inside, you can build a cage from NIC grids (14'' square) and zipties, plus some kind of flooring. I've built 2x3x5 grid, 2x4x5 grid, 3x3x5 grid and 3x6x4 grid condos (with attached run) over the years. Another indoor option is a dog crate (XL or XXL, preferably) with an attached run. The most readily accessible pic I have is of the 3x3x5:

You can easily add a run made from one or more x-pens (dog exercise pens; min recommended height of 30-32'' but ranging as high as 48'' if you want to be able to put fun stuff like cardboard boxes in the pen) attached to the condo with either zipties or carabiners... or you can bunny-proof your home (or at least one room of it) and let him free-roam with anything from a NIC condo to a tiny store-bought cage as his "home base" (for food/water/potty) that he can enter/exit as he pleases.

Every year, our member Blue eyes starts a thread of cage/habitat pictures - very much worth browsing through for ideas! 2019 and 2018 threads. In the 2013 thread, you can find pictures of my original 2x3x5 condo and my second (2x4x5 grid) condo.
