Hi everyone!

I am a new bunny parent to a Holland Lops and she is about 7 weeks old. I've always been a huge animal lover and have had all sorts of pets from dogs, birds, cats, and reptiles. I got my first rabbit and it's been about a week since I've had her. Her name is Chopper, and I'll insert a photo for you all to see! She is very sweet and has super chill behavior. She loves licking my face and sitting on my chest, as well as hopping around the room and eating hay allllllllllllllllllllll day.

I just had a few questions that I haven't seen asked yet since I've browsing this wonderful forum.

-When can I start trimming her nails? I noticed they have gotten a bit long and I have a tiny cat nail cutter that I bought for her, I just didn't know if it was too early for that.

-Do rabbits need vaccines? I have a vet in the state of Georgia that was recommended to me from the House Rabbit Society. I know for a fact that I will be neutering/spaying her as soon as she is 6 months of age.

Baby rabbits nails are like needles. I think I first trimmed mine when they were 5 weeks old. But the nails are still so tiny at that age, you are basically snipping just the very tip off so it's not quite so sharp, being careful not to cut into the quick.

No vaccines in the US.

She's very cute!
