I am new to owning bunnies and am trying to bond two bunnies. They are both under a year, girl/boy and both spayed/neutered. They both seem to be getting along fine no fights at all. The boy seems really interested while she isn’t. But I have read this is normal. I have them living side by side. He is in his cage and she is in a small playpen with his cage inside. When they are loose playing she loves going in his cage and eating from his food. Even when he is locked up for the night or I need to go do things and can’t supervise she is close to his cage and eating from his hay. His hay is hanging on one of those hay containers that attach to the cage. When they are together, they eat fine together, they relax next to each other, they clean themselves next to each other and he grooms her - she has yet to groom him but she does lower her head to him asking to be groomed. While together he will be making honking sounds and tries to mount her but she is not allowing it. So he will chase her. She doesn’t try to mount him. I am thinking this is all good signs however I just don’t know when they can move in together. Any advice would be greatly appreciate it

Maybe keep them like you are for a while because she might not be old enough or be ready to mate.

She is not wanting them to breed that is why she got them fixed aka spayed and neutered. She is trying to bond them so they can be like husbun and wifebun lol. Also rabbits can start breeding at 4 months although it is not recommended to breed does until 6 months.
@Cgc maybe they need more supervised bonding time and when he tries to mount her have a spray bottle ready to spray him to let him know that this is not ok.

Thank you. So much I will try that.
