as long as your rabbits are healthy.... ignore what others say. Hay is simply dried grass so if you need to feed hay.. DRY some your grass. :) Simple and easy.

Exactly, I live in India too, I've had my rabbits for about a month and I only feed them permitted green vegetables (and occasionally treat vegetables) , not because I dont want to give them hay but because I don't know where to get hay here, and I don't know which local grasses are safe. So far my bunnies are doing absolutely fine, they eat, play, poop, pee, sleep, interact and behave normally. Green vegetables are the next biggest requirement after hay anyway.

May i know from where you bought your rabbits. I bought white color red eyes baby bunnies but both times they died. I had given them hay that's it and fresh water. Don't know how they die in such a manner, almost in just 6 days and this time just 2 days.

Hello! I got mine in Dewas (a city 30-40km from Indore) I don't live there though, was just visiting the area briefly. Mine are also white coloured red eyed albino baby rabbits, the pet shop owner told me they were two months old.

Is there anyway to find out what the different grasses are and if ok? Rabbits really need grass or hay as the main part of their diet. They need high fibre of a certain kind, long fibre and low nutriet food and a lot of it. This pushes through their intestines in a way that it really needs and the way they are designed as animals. It sounds very frustrating not being able to get what you need but I would keep persisting for their health's sake. Even high fibre pellets aren't good enough as a staple as they are not long fibre stranded as required.

Rabbits can look healthy until they are suddenly not.
