Hi guys. I've been having some troubles with my little boy around feeding time. He's not at all an aggressive rabbit but when it's feeding time he grunts, lunges, and bites me. He's un-neutered so I may be part of that, but I would think that would make him aggressive overall. I really want to try a stop him from being so food aggressive, he's not just a pet to me. He is my emotional support animal so I'm really attached to him and I don't want him to stat being aggressive.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Until he gets neutered (the sooner the better so behavior doesn't become ingrained) the best you can do is avoid that which gives him the opportunity to bite. That may mean distracting him or having him out of the cage when bowls are refilled. Keeping bowls near the cage entrance to minimize how far that reach is may also help.

My butthole, 13 week old rabbit, is the same way. I put my hand on top of his head and push him down to the floor and then feed him or give him water. I will also wear gloves and then feed him treats and pet him to try and make him realize my hand is his friend when it has food. lol. I haven't decided if it is working, yet, or not. The food aggression started about 3 weeks ago. I can't wait to get him neutered.
