My little boy finally got to meet and try to mate with my little girl. They are both dwarf buns, he is a hotot lionhead, and she is a Havana. I have had him since 3/4 months old and he is about 9/10 months old now. he is the most affectionate loving little boy. He is such a good bun it's crazy. I have had my little girl for about 4 months now, giving her extra TLC because I got her from a farm setting where she was in an outside shed/ hutch made into multiple hutches with about 15 other buns. She has had two litters before and is just over a year old, about 2/3 months and a year. They have been living across from each other in their cages for months. We got her because my little boy is ready to have a girlfriend and we are interested in having baby buns and selling them as pets because we think we have just the cutest lil dwarf buns. We brought our doe to our bucks cage and actually had pretty reasonable high hopes. Thinking, she's done this twice before and knows what's she's doing. And he's ready. He's excited. We only had her in his cage for about 4 minutes before she began getting too agressive for our liking and was lunging at his privates quite a bit. And I know that does have castrated bucks so I didn't want to risk her getting him. We are going to give it another week and try again. Really Gage her moods and try to give her lots of exercise and love. And hope she takes to him better. He was a complete gentleman and she was freaking out a bit and he kinda just came to smell her, tried to introduce himself and she would run, he didn't even try to mount her he was very respectful of her space. Lol. I raised such a good Lil boy lol. Any advice would really be appreciated. I may try switching who's in who's cage, because I've done some research on that. I don't want to force a breed, I've heard of that. I don't want that. I would like for her to calm and coperate but I fear she maybe just not ready? Idk. Help. Lol. We really would like to keep a baby or two, probably just one, lol and eventually get them fixed and have a bunny family. Lol. But she doesn't seem to want to consimate their marriage. Lol. Why? Let me know what you think!!! Thanks!!!

I heard apple cider vinegar helps with getting rabbits ready. Also more sunlight or light can help tell her it is the time of year to breed. Some times it will take up to 2 weeks or longer to get a doe to be ready. You can tell if she is ready to breed by checking her genitals if it is bright red. If she keeps attacking him after trying for a while, I wouldn't breed her, because she might just not like that male.

Ouuuu okay thank you!!! I will try both of those!!! I've breifly heard about the apple cider vinegar, her downstairs does seem more pink than red, but looks good otherwise. And maybe I need to have her in more light more often. Thank you!!
