I recently adopted a rabbit who is at risk for ending up the pound if you didn’t find a home. As a kid we had several mini Rex’s and I’ve had a fair bit of experience there. We took my new boy Zeke to the vet for general exam and found out that he is actually a giant lop and almost 10 pounds at only five months!
He does free roam and is doing really well I’ve been able to find beds and a carrier designed for dogs that work well for his size but I’ve had little luck on where to find items even online designed for a bun of his size! The vet does estimate that he will double in size.
I’m hoping for suggestions on sites or places where some of you have found items for your buns? Maybe anyone out there with a giant Flemish or a French lop yourselves!
I appreciate all the help!

Wow, that is a lot of bunny to love! It was so kind of you to adopt him. Our lionhead is only about 6 lbs. we get extra large hard plastic cat balls from the dollar store and grass mats and 4 inch willow balls (Petco or Amazon or ebay). Would he like a large paper bag? I saw a cute youtube video of a bunny savaging a paper bag.

If you're bunny is a little larger like mine, I bought these 4inch straw balls, my rabbits go crazy for them. It's the right size that they like to roll it around and obviously they get destroyed very quickly! but it's totally worth it, you can get them on amazon and ebay, or I got mine from this bunny store https://shopbunnies.com/collections/for-rabbits/products/straw-ball-toy

If Zeke gets any bigger you might need something else :D

At this rate his pen or “house” is just going to become an obstacle in the upstairs for him
He loves those willow or twig style balls but somehow keeps getting them wrapped around his hind legs? So I had to pull them because I was so afraid of him getting hurt! I’ll have to see if I can find some right wound ones on amazing thank you!

We had a Checkered Giant that was 20 pounds. We look around at Amazon and Fosters and Smith or use cardboard boxes.

We’re trying to cardboard for hiding houses and he seems hesitant to go in so I did try hay stuffing to see if I can entice him!
Yeah n the large end they’re estimating 17-20 and I cannot even imagine!

Awesome I’ll have to hit my local dollar store I was wondering if he would show any interest in a ball! So I’ll have to try it!
He does love the grass mats but my local stores only stock small/medium sizes and they’re toast in a week
