Guys I'm so bummed out. We adopted a sweet baby bun bun Flemish Giant we named Molly from a breeder who raises them for meat a few months ago. She has SO much personality and is SO sweet. A couple days ago we noticed her squinting, something funny with her eye. It's now slightly bulging and discolored. We took her to our vet, and then a specialist... who ran a bunch of tests... only to be diagnosed with genetically caused glaucoma They gave us some eye drops, sent us on our way, there's nothing else to be done for her.
She's only 6 months old!!!!
I would do ANYTHING for her to be normal I just feel so badly for her. She is going to be spade in two weeks... other than that she's perfect.
Is this unheard of for this age? Is she going to have a normal life? I guess it must be due to inbreeding since they're supposed to be meat rabbits? I don't care about how she looks, I just feel badly for her.
To be fair, I think I'm more worried than she is. Now that we have the eye drops she acts 100% normal just has a cloudy eye.
Poor sweet lil bun bun bun
