Hello, how are you lovely people doing?
So, a girl recently bought a bunny and I gave her all the information I knew even though the people before me told her so many wrong information such as feeding the rabbit a lot of fruits and carrots and even bread or whatever and today she messaged me and told me something's wrong with her bunny's eye which's this

Apparently she's hesitant about taking it to the vet even though I highly recommended it but she wanted me to ask you about it so I'm doing so. What might this be and what could the treatment for it be?

It would be wrong for anyone to speculate based on a photo, she really should go to a vet like you suggested. Even a vet wouldn’t give advice like this based on a photo.

perfectly said.

Please keep us posted.

I gave her the information about the vet that spayed my baby girl and told her to pay him or any other vet nearby a visit but it doesn't seem like she cares enough to do that which's honestly pissing me off now.
She bought a baby bunny with zero background about rabbits and wouldn't even do mere researches about it or even take it to the vet and now I can't help but feel horrible for the poor thing.

Uhm, only one eye is affected? That's a good sign. There are several , pretty harmless potential reasons for this, anyway, see a vet. Eyes are delicate organs.
But I got somewhat paranoid about eyes looking like this after losing 14 of my 15 rabbits to Myxo some years ago.

Alice, if you had physical contact with that rabbit and own rabbits yourself, obey quarentine procedures like changing clothes ( including shoes ) and desinfecting hands.

Yes, I'm somewhat paranoid about that, but well...

I don't. It's a girl that contacted me on Facebook to ask me about it because I own a rabbit and she just got one and thought about asking me. I kept telling her to take it to the vet and she kept changing the subject. But why take measurements like that? Is it contagious to humans?

If it was myxo, it would be contagious to your bunny which is why preitler was suggesting hand washing etc. There isn’t much more you can do if she won’t take her to a vet I’m afraid, you’ll soon get used to awful owners!
