HI so in my state all rabbits have to be tattooed to be able to show and im just wondering how this will effect my rabbit

If you are going to get your bunny tattooed, it should be absolutely fine 
Ear tattoos are required at just about any show in the US. It’s always easier to do it when the rabbit is young, but can be done anytime. We’ve tattoo’d hundreds of rabbits for showing with no problems. If you can’t do it yourself there is usually someone at the show who will do it for you.

i want a permanate tattoo and have someone willing to do it.... what is the process??
It’s pretty simple. Clean the inside of the ear with an alcohol wipe, wrap or ‘burrito’ the rabbit so it doesn’t kick, then use an animal tattoo pen to write what you want it to be. Some people use clamps to tattoo. We prefer the pen. After your done wipe the extra ink off, and we would put a thin coat of Vaseline over the tattoo.

I have heard of and seen tattooing an altered ie cat dog,-but a rabbit ?-why,just for sport.??-never heard of this.!-government in minnesota must be all liberals!!--this ougta shake em up!!-rr,r-sincerely james waller
James, they must have an ear tattoo to be entered in a rabbit show. Can you imagine trying to find your rabbit amongst 20 others of the same breed, sex, age and variety?
