I live right on the Ohio/Michigan border, by Lake Erie. Every vet is different. But I have called around recently and the cheapest I found is around $220 for regular vet who has special interest in Rabbits, with over $500 being the highest that I found (that price is for a strict exotic-only specialist, so they can get away with charging more). Your best bet is to find vets in your area that treat rabbits, and go from there. if you can't find any rabbit-savvy vets on your own, call around or email dog/cat vets and see who THEY would recommend in your area for rabbit care. I just did a google search, went onto vet's websites, got their contact info, and started emailing like crazy. If you show interest, they should gladly give you prices. If you have any questions let me know! You just have to ask around. And make sure you pick one who is experienced with rabbit surgery. Your rabbit's care should mean more than the cost, but I get that some people can't afford to be spending $500. Also, the highest price does not ALWAYS mean you will be getting the best treatment. Sometimes you just have to look around. Go in person to meet the vet and their team. get a regular "check up" just to see how educated on rabbits they truly are, and how they handle your rabbit, what advice they give, etc. Sometimes (just like doctors), you have to kind of "interview" them, until you find the "right" one. Good luck!!!!

While I’ve seen the same prices, I did discover that the SPCA does it for $110 during their spay/neuter clinics.
