I recently got 2 rabbits (avg size, about 4 months old) and placed them in a human activity-filled room.
i have another room which is quite large, and is only used to store a closet. I was wondering if i can rabbit-proof the room, will it be ok to move their cage to the new room, and leave the cage open so it will act as a big litter box, while the rabbits roam the room freely. I was wondering if after being around humans and hearing our noise and moving around the house freely, the rabbits might act weird to being moved to an isolated room with no humans and less noise and places to explore.

It would probably be best for them and for you to keep them in an area where the humans are. Unless you intend to spend hours each day in that separate room, I don't see the advantage to keeping them isolated. There would be less interaction between you and them. Kinda takes the fun out of having rabbits and seems it would be less interesting for them.

The problem i currently have with their living space is that i cant make it bunny proof. It has cables of 2 computers running on the floor, behind the tables. i have to constantly watch them, and ofcourse their favourite place to hang is right on the cabels... they didnt even try chewing it, but i fear they might give it a bite in a moment of distraction for me...

Update: the bunnies are chewing the cage bars when i place them inside, as if they want to Be set free from it. They still sleep there, but when i go to work i have to leave them locked in the cage and they dont like it. Naybe its better to let then live in the other, safe room..

Maybe a photo of the current area and the current cage would be helpful. I don't see why cords and cables can't be protected. Maybe the visual will help us see what is going on. It's easier to offer suggestions that way.

As I said earlier, having rabbits in an isolated room isn't ideal for you or the rabbits unless it is a room in which you intend to spend several hours each day.
