I know there is a bunch of theories on how to get it done... I am wondering what techniques worked for your bunny. With hot season finally here (I hate it!), its very crucial for my rabbits. Thanks!

Are they getting sufficient water from their diet (i.e., vegetables)?

I've seen my rabbits drink water maybe 4-5 times each in the past 2 years, but they get as many greens as they can eat twice a day. I assume that if they felt the need for water, they would drink; and if they're getting enough from the veggies, they wouldn't feel the urge to consume additional water. This is inside with a controlled temp, though.

thank you samoth,
My bunnies prefer to be outdoors, and all past summers this was how we survived - feeding a lot of wet green veggies often. However, this summer they are 5-6 years old and have some health issues...decreased water intake causes urinary issues then urinary issues may cause pain and decreased appetite, plus all the heat... their breathing is frequent because they are not hydrated enough then I bring them inside which stresses them out because they want to be outside...stress again may cause loss of appetite and so on... very hard time for all of us
