I litter box trained Simba in my bathroom, which is really big. I've separate tub/shower and the toilet is in a separate room with a door. I have his litter box in there, his bed, a couple of toys and his water/food bowl. I only use this bathroom to put on my makeup/do my hair, since we have two other bathrooms. I remove all chemicals, shower gels anything I think that he can get into. I'm always checked the walls and cabinets to see if he's been chewing on them and they seem to be ok. Simba has a cage but he doesn't like to be in the cage so is it okay for him to remain in the bathroom?

I'd say so, as long as he gets enough attention being in a closed room. I had my Benny in my spare bathroom for nearly two weeks because my Bunny Room had flooded and the bathroom was dry. I had thrown some blankets in the tub and he liked hopping in there to sleep. I think the only downside to this is that your bathroom isn't used often from the sounds of it, so you don't want him accidentally getting neglected. I actually had put up a really tall baby gate like thing in the bathroom doorway, so he could see out of the bathroom and wasn't behind a closed door.

StomyB.... thanks for the reply and I have a baby gate up too. I let him out every day for bout 2hrs morning and evening so his not neglected at all....have a good day!!!

It's sound like you took away all the dangerous stuff so I'd say it would be alright I'd just watch him and make sure he's alright.

Sounds pretty good :) You've probably also thought of this, but possibly lay some mats down onto the floor, so that he isn't on tiles all the time.

If all chemicals are removed, it's not really different to any other room. My bun often exercises in the bathroom during winter because it's safe from our cats :)

The only problem I had when my buns were in a spare bathroom for a few weeks, was that Clementine decided the toilet brush smelled funny and knocked it down to play with. :p Yuck!

Also in the tub, make sure the drain is shut, covered, or has a towel over it so Simba's feet don't get caught in it.

I was scared Benny would jump in the tub, and catch the drain and break his foot, I put a frikking comforter over the drain so there was no way he could pull it away from the drain lol.
