So whenever I hold Thumper on my chest, he will sometimes hop up higher and bury his face in my neck. I have found this happen mostly when he's scared, but he sometimes does it when he's perfectly content. Does this mean anything?

Maybe it's a bonding thing? Harvey will sometimes put her nose on my nose and hold it there, so we breath on each other. She does it when she is in her most snuggly mood. Maybe Thumper is enjoying your scent and bonding?

My Lionhead, Stella, did this when I first brought her to live with us....to me it seemed she was looking for security, for a place to hid and be safe. Now that she has been bonded with Leroy and has been living with us for 9 months, she doesn't do it anymore. I kinda miss that snuggle-ly move, but am glad that she feels at home now...

my bun does this too. for her it seems to be like it makes her feels secure because picking her up makes her nervous so i try not to do it often unless necessary

My dwarf, Amy, does this as well. I've had her for six months roughly, and she's bonded with us all, so I think it might be a demand to get more attention?

Haha, that's adorable. She's displaying bunny dominance. Dominant bunnies push their head under the necks of lower-ranked bunnies to demand some head grooming. Usually the submissive bunny will then clean the top of dominant bun's head. You have a very confident, bossy bun!
