Hi, a couple of people have said that my rabbits living conditions are poor and I have poor husbandry. I believe this rumour started from one girl who or probably jealous of me, what should I do I am sick of what they are saying and I want to do something about it. I had an idea, I would call the RSPCA and they would check all my pets/family (I consider them family) and write a report to show them. I believe the girl who started it is jealous and I don't think he rabbits have good living conditions. She doesn't get them vaccinated on there due dates, one of her rabbits were dying and she didn't take him to the vet. She just watched him die slowly, if it was me he would be at the vet and would be pts if he didn't have a chance. And if I couldn't get him to the vet and he was suffering I would wait a day or two and would snap his neck if he got really really bad. What should I do about the rumours, I have also considered calling the Rspca on her. Ps. The vet has said all my rabbits and all the other animals I have are extremely healthy, they all get vaccinated in there due dates, they are groomed regularly, they are fed the right amount of food, I feed my rabbits nice food and hay. I listen to all the vets recommendations and I also only breed my rabbits when someone is wanting a baby, and also I adopt from pounds, shealters and the RSPCA where as the girl who started this rumour breeds whenever her rabbits are ready to breed and says pound/shelter/RSPCA animals are ugly. Oh and she has rabbits online so she will probably read this post 😊 thanks for your advice

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it. Just have a vet report on hand that says their healthy and well cared for and let them talk. You can't stop people from gossiping but you can choose to ignore it or let it get to you. But if she gets to bad such as it gets to a point it starts hurting your reputation and you start being impacted by it you could pursue the case with your local police as Slander is illegal and a form of harassment which is also illegal. But if you go the Legal route you'll have to prove her comments is damaging you in a measureable way, for example financially.

Yes, it had hurt me but I don't think it has impacted me selling my rabbits. It is hurting my reputation tho :) (I breed rabbits for show) I'm thinking about telling the owner of the group I'm part of (rabbit showing group) and they can take it further thanks for your advice
