Just got a 7 week old bunny yesterday. When I put the litter box in she was pooping and peeing in the opposite corner, I moved it there and now she goes back to the other corner. There are also some spare poops and pees around the cage. Am I just going to have to be patient? I put the hay there as well as her poops.

Lol yes be patient. She is a baby and you just got her. Try putting some of the peed on litter and poops into the litter box to encourage her using it. You can try praising her when you see her using the box, I know that's more of a tactic for dogs but hey praise is always good! She will get the hang of it. When she becomes more mature she may revert to bad habits though, until she gets spayed. It'll be ok.

I agree that she's just a baby and is getting use to a new environment. However, your bun could be fussy about the litter you're using or the litter box.

If you're using a corner litter box, or something that's too small for her to jump all the way in, try getting a bigger box.

I would also get the same litter as the place you got your bunny from. Sometimes you need to transition slowly from what she was use to.

And if all else fails, I've read of owners putting litter boxes in all corners! Hopefully it won't come to that.
