Elsa has a large lump on her cheek I just noticed :( Before I got them, I had looked for rabbit savvy vets and found two. And now neither of them want to treat my bunnies :\ Apparently they only do wellness checks and spay/neuter them, but don't go beyond that... so now I'm stuck with a bunny with a huge lump on her cheek that no one wants to even look at... what am I supposed to do?! ;(

How far out of your town have you looked? Also, what state are you in?

If the rabbit savvy vets wont take her in for it, take her to a non rabbit savvy vet, All vets know how to treat an abscess. You may need to help them by letting them know how abscesses are different in rabbits. Use the search feature up top to bring up a few threads about treatment.

UPDATE: My local vet's assistant gave me wrong information, he DOES take rabbits! So I took her in ASAP and she got her surgery and is in recovery.

And I don't live in the states rokin14 :c I looked everywhere that wasn't more than an hour away because I had to pick up my daughter from school and had no one to do it for me (at the time, a little later her father offered but by then I already had Elsa at the vet's office).

Sorry, that was my fault for assuming. I'm happy to hear things worked out:)

So happy that you were able to get your bun looked at! Recover well little bun!

She seems to be recovering well, she's eating and drinking water normally, seems a bit mad at me though, won't let me touch her at all x)
