In my emergency kit I have....
1. Bene-bac
2. Infacol: its simethicone infant gas medicine you can buy at the grocery store for incase one of my rabbits stops eating and has gas.
3. ten syringes all different sizes- incase I have to syringe pedialyte, or food to sick rabbits etc...
4. ***Unsweetened Pedialyte: If any of my rabbits stops eating I assume they are not drinking water and I immediately syringe 15mm to 20mm pedialyte.
5. Manuka Honey wound care: Anti-microbal, anti-fungal, non toxic, its sterilized manuka honey one of the only things that kills bacteria without killing the healing tissue of the wound. Diabetics use it to heal wounds that won't heal, Meddirabbit recommends it for packing abscesses its great stuff.
6. Terramycin: An antibiotic ointment for eye infections, my Vet prescribed it once, but I noticed you can also buy it from Ebay so I bought two tubes.
7. An assortment of bandages and bandaids and even some superglue.
8. A bag of Critical Care: Food that you syringe feed to sick rabbits, (but you should never give it to a rabbit that might have a blockage or wool block, give pedialyte instead).
Other things I have for routine worming, fleas and E.cuniculi and coccidiosis:
Toltrazuril: treats E. cuniculi and coccidiosis (if I get a new rabbit they get this incase they are carrying something that can infect my other rabbits)
Revolution: treats fleas and mites.
***The one item I think is the most important is the unsweetened pedialyte and syringes. Whenever rabbits go off food or get diarrhea the thing that kills them is dehydration, so hydrating is very importantpedialyte saves lives. Also, if I am going to the vet I know my rabbit won't be drinking any water for 2 or 3 hours because they don't drink on the trip there, which is 1 hour, or at the vet (1 hour), or on the way home in the car (1 hour), so I always syringe pedialyte 15mm-20mm pedialyte before going to the vet.
