My carpet is being replaced with wood floors today, every room.
How will he do his morning Bunny 500?
i have a feeling, i will be getting the bunny butt the first time he tries

What if you laid down some rugs or blankets? When I washed the carpet my buns usually play on a little while ago, I put down some blankets and they had a ball playing on them. :)

I have a giant area rug in my living room that he can play on, but he likes to run the whole house. I think laying blankets down would be a good idea

We have hardwoods all over our house. There is a large area rug for the buns, and we also have smaller rugs and even bathmats for them, lol. They are getting used to the wood, however, even though they can't go quite as fast.

Rabbitboks, for for long distance bunny hops! The Reebok endorsed by Bugs Bunny himself! Even the Roadrunner can't outrun Rabbitboks! lol Send a pair of Rabbitboks to Wile E. Coyote! lol Needed a little silliness in my life right now!

Thumper is not crazy about the hardwood. The bun room is carpeted as well as the den but to get from one to the other he has to cross some hardwood. In the middle of this distance though we have 3x4 rug down that the dog bowls sit on. So Thumpe4r will run from the buns room, jump the hardwood landing on the carpet, run across this and then jump the hardwood and into the den and vice versa.

You may just need to strategically place some rugs around so bun can either cross the hardwood or learn to jump. I believe it's something Thumper actually enjoys because he doesn't always jump, sometimes he just does his normal bunny hops but when he's really in the mood to run he does the jumping.

We have a combo of carpet and tile floors. I know it's not the same a hard wood but still slippery. Twigs is fine with the tile. It's pretty funny when he's running across the tile and has to stop fast and slides. Sort of like Thumper on Bambi when they are on the ice.

Agree with an area rug and a runner down the hallway perhaps. You could lay down blankets, but they're also going to slip around when he pushes off of them unless you put some non-slip stuff under them.

Mommy what IS this?! Poor guy, he's walking on the wood like its ice. Body stretched way out, one foot at a time. He walks a few steps then hops back onto his blanket

From my experience that's how they usually walk when investigating a new surface. It's a good sign IMO that he is going onto the floor even if it is only a few steps. Over time he may decide it's not so bad and venture further.

He did it! I let him our for his morning stroll, he's running all over the house at the moment. Not as fast but he's hopping and sprinting. He slid out once so far going to his usual spot behind my bed to dig. I put a blanket there so he seems content. He's been digging that spot of carpet for a week making it just right and here I go and remove it ;)
