I thought I would drop in and say hello to all my old friends. I haven't been on here in what seems like forever!

I also thought I'd give an update on my bunnies. Mocha turned a whopping 10 year old in March! :eek:ldman: He is still doing well despite being arthritic. The vet is still very happy with how he's aging. Zoey will turn 8 this July, and she too is doing wonderfully. Still battling eye ulcers that come and go.

And as another plus, the bunnies have officially become indoor bunnies as of last September. They have the run of an entire room at all times and they sure enjoy it, plus it helps with their arthritis!

I have attached some photos of them looking awfully comfortable!

Hope everyone is doing well!

I thought I'd stop in to give an update and hope that some of the "old crew" who knew me would recognize the post.

Zoey is 8.5, she's doing well lately. She's got a lot of spunk but it starting to develop arthritis with age and because of all the trauma and ulcers to her eye, she is getting cataracts but overall she's pretty good. She's been off eye ulcer medication for 7 months and they haven't returned. Knock on wood.

Mocha is having more problems. He'll be 11 in 2 - 3 months. And until recently the only problems he had we thought were age related. He does have arthritis but he's also got weakness in his hind end and we assumed the arthritis was causing him to lose muscle mass and the unsteadiness he's had was also related to age, muscle loss, and arthritis. Well last week he started having seizures, 2 days after his vet appointment. But he was fine within 10 minutes so I was confused. Well after talking to my vet on the phone and 2 more seizures, I took him in for an emergency appointment today to find out that he has E Cuniculi most likely. It explains his hind end weakness, unsteadiness, Uveitis, and seizures. Unfortunately for us, we hadn't seen the other symptoms as anything other than age problems before the neurological signs started showing. He's now being treated and I have high hopes that the seizures stop and he gains at least some of the strength and stability back in his hind end so he can live on another few years.

Anyways, that's an update on my sweet babies. Hope everyone and their rabbits are well!

Well the old crew is still around, even if we don't post as much.
It's good to hear from you and get some updates on you and the bunnies. Was wondering how you were.
Sad that poor Mocha is having problems, wish no bunnies should have to endure old age as they are all babies to us. Still remembering Spice and Mocha at the early stages of the forum.
