Questions for a breeder/exhibitor

Basically, it is a way for readers to start discussion about any rabbit topic. I often write about things I come across on Facebook, or even topics I have seen here in the breeding forum. But sometimes what I'm thinking about doesn't cover the questions others may have, or the topics you'd be interested in reading about.

I'd like to gather some questions for upcoming Q&A posts.

If you're newer to the hobby with questions about getting started, a pet owner wondering how we do things around the rabbitry, or simply a fellow breeder interested in starting discussion on a hot topic...please let me know! There are no rules, no censor, and ANY topic - no matter how controversial or personal - is fair game.

Since RO is mostly those who own pet rabbits, maybe you've seen breeders say something on the forum that seemed confusing or "backwards." This is a chance to ask about the ins and outs of what we do. No worries that I'll "take it the wrong way." I like talking about what I do, even the "hard questions."

Feel free to post here, or to PM me if you'd rather not post publicly. All questions are included anonymously in my blog, unless you specifically ask for attribution.

Breeding question: As a newer breeder with Hollands lops I am constantly looking for ways to improve my herd, how did you go about establishing your herd?

What type of toys do you provide for your rabbits (I know some breeders do bells and stuff like that- I currently only give toilet paper tubes)- I'm not sure if it relates but I would like to get more interactive things for my rabbits to do, especially my hyper rabbits!)

What was the turning point to when you first started breeding (I love hearing how other people got started in rabbits!)

I don't believe I can ask you anything specifically on this forum because of the rules, but since we can be as controversial as we want, I'mma just go straight for it LOL

culling, you could write a post on it--what you do, what other people do, your opinions. Hopefully that's not specific enough to get this reply removed.

It's probably best for controversial questions/topics to be PM'd, that way they can still be discussed on the external site without getting into a gray area where RO is concerned

Yes, please PM me if questions are relating to topics that would generally not be discussed on this forum. I don't mind talking about them myself, but don't want to cause any potential trouble for the moderators here.

EDIT: Also, if you're interested in knowing when posts go up, there is a "Follow" button on the right (scroll down a little) to receive alerts via email. Or, of course you can just check back once in awhile.
