Wait, I forgot to convert the pounds to kilograms. Agh! Okay, I have no clue. I am so totally dependant on calculators right now that I can't do math without them.

Calculators are taking over the world by making our math skills dependant on them.

So glad to hear little Freddy's okay. What a scare.

That is so cool about the woman who paid part of your bill. What an awesome person. You should see if the vet can get hera thank you card. That's proof that there are some reallygood people out there.

I am so glad that Freddy is okay. I didn't realize that the ingestion of chocolate could be lethal....good to know. My Oreo has a thing for Kit-Kats & Butterfingers. She had a "stash"of them that had fallen on the floor at Halloween. I couldn't figure out where these candy bars were coming from! She had hidden them under the recliner and would bring one out, half eaten, from time to time. Glad I found them! She, on the other hand seemed quite peeved that they were gone! Bad girl!!! I'm glad she didn't get sick because of her "sweet tooth". A lesson learned. Thank you.Charlotte

Yea Freddy is home. I am so relieved.Bless that woman's heart for helping like she did. I am thrilled Freddy is ok. Words can't describe how happy I am.

I'm not ready to lose Freddy. Was on-edge the whole time I was reading this thread. Give him a kiss and a cuddle from me.

Ocean County has an emergency service veterinarian hospital on Rt 70, Lakewood, NJ.7 (732) 363-3200 that is open 24/7 on weekends and holidays. It is only 1 1/2 hrs from your location.

If you call them they may be able to provide you with a comparable Passaic County service. I agree that it would be wise for Freddy to see a vet ASAP!

Buck:shock2:

P.S. Well, all's well that ends well! Freddy had his chocolate "bender" and paid no apparent price for it. Good for him! Might be a good time to "post" emergency weekend telephone numbers, eh?

I took him to West Caudwell Animal Hospital ..its an emergency only place..and they were fantastic .. they choppedhis original $700 bill down to $400 .. the only thing that kinda tickedme off was that they wanted me to call the Poison control center run bythe ASPCA .. to get any info from them you have to give a "donation" of$50...sorry but im not paying fifty bucks for someone to tell me myrabbit has to go to the vet...anywho so i got quite the gripe from theanimal hospital for not following this "procedure"...they then spoke tothe PCC themselves and charged me $109 for it....so if i would haveoriginally called in the first place i would have spent $159 onphonecalls....shouldnt a hospital have its own toxicologist onpremises? ... it just sounded a lil shady to me...

and freddy is doing just fine :)...hes been doin his dances all aroundmy room .. lil stubborn boy wont let me clean the charcoal off fromunderneath his chin tho...
