It's time to clean our bunny cage and I'm not sure what to use. I was once told to use baby bath wash, anyone have any advice?

I mostly just use white vinegar. For general cleaning, I just have a spray bottle with a vinegar and water mix, I spray the cage down and wipe it up with paper towel.
If the cage (or litter box) is more dirty, I wash it with regular dish soap, then use the vinegar. For really bad urine stains, I soak it in strait vinegar and scrub a lot. Make sure to rinse well to get any residue off, but vinegar should not pose a problem.

Vinegar is safe for buns. I always rinse good though to get rid of the smell. Figure I'm not crazy about it and they should have a better nose than me. I use a mix of vinegar/water for regular cleaning.

When calcium builds up as it does on the litter box then I simply soak with some water and more vinegar. Give it about 15 minutes then it cleans right out.

The type of material that your cage is made of may mean you need to use something different such as wood. My buns are indoors in extra large dog cages.

I use vinegar and water in a 50/50 mix to clean the hutch then rinse with just water. I use unscented dish soap (Seventh Generation) to clean the litter boxes and then a little straight vinegar in the bottom for a short soak to disinfect and remove any residue. I wash their bowls with the dish soap too or run them through the dishwasher.

Also Walmart sells wipes for animal cages and I found a spray once at Petco, but I think it was mostly vinegar...

I wash it out with vinegar and hot water in the bath tub. Every week I will soak both of the cages (for Chico and Chica)
just to get it as clean as possible while they are out playing. I soak it for as long as it takes to get it clean, not any longer and then take it out and dry it.

It's been working pretty good so far for close to two years..

You can also use a diluted bleach solution for disinfecting. Its just chlorine and leaves no residue or smell once its dry. Perfectly safe for use around animals, I even clean my aquariums with it.

But bleach doesn't clean calcium build up. So for decrusting the litter box I use vinegar. But my bun doesn't like the smell of vinegar so I usually use the bleach solution when wiping down his cage floor.

Vinegar is probably fine for general cleaning, but if you need to disinfect then a 10% bleach solution is best, or 1.75% iodine solution. With bleach you have to let it dry, wash it good and let it sit in the sun for awhile before putting the bunny in it.
