My bunny is 3 and is not spayed. I have confirmed with my vet that this must be done and I will take her in, but she's just had surgery to remove a tooth, so I won't put her through this now. I am very concerned that 1 of her nipples is enlarged or the flesh around it is. It is leaking. My vet did look yesterday but did not seem overly concerned, although recommended the spaying of her.

She is currently on Meloxidyl and Baytril for her post surgery medication. Can I do something now for the swollen nipple? Can I wait, until she's recovered from her surgery? If any of you have experienced this for your bunny, please can you advise. :dutch:hearts:

Swollen leaking nipples is always a concern for uterine carcinoma in rabbits. I would strongly recommend spaying her soon. Uterine activity stimulates mammary activity, and unless your bunny is pregnant or has been breeding, uterine activity is concerning.

I am not very confident in your vet. This is serious, either an infection or cancer as Geoff mentioned.
