:( I am new to this. But notto the rabbit world. I have, am, and will continue to breedrabbits as long as my landlord will allow me to. Now on to myproblem....

I recently had a momma rabbit give birth to a litter of 12bunnies! Now, that may seem like alot to some of you, butI've been doing this for about 24 years. All of them lookgreat, except for one. If I had a camera I would take apicture and send it out to whoever wanted it, but I recently lost mycamera in the Nevada Salt Flats while visiting my step-aunt's siamesesisters. Anyhoo, this little bunny's feet measureapproximately 17" long, AND ITS ONLY 3 MONTHS OLD! Every timeit jumps, it jumps over 9 feet in the air. That is not theproblem though. You see, I take all of my rabbits to thelocal pool for a quick swim about 3 times a week. Rabbits aregreat swimmers, but little Kanga (that is his name cause he can jumphigher that a kangaroo) is impossible to catch once he gets in thewater!! We recently had the local sheriff use his radar gunto clock the swim speed and Kanga can swim at an amazing 32MPH!! At that speed he is constantly smacking the side of thepool and every time I try to grab him his claws chew my hands up likethe propeller of a jet boat!! Now to my question. He cannot swallow normal sized pellets. He had one enormoustooth in the front that is 4" by 6.2" in girth. He attemptsto chew the pellet but only manages to put chips in the tile or tearsin the carpet. Lately he has survived on creamed corn (helikes to play in a big bowl of it). But the diahrrea isunstoppable. I tried diapers and such, but they just fly offwhen he's a jumpin'!! Should I switch him to another type ofcreamy vegetable, or am I good to go. He just loves to eat that creamedcorn.

Sincerely,

Pokemon (Clem Van Winkerpit)

I'm not that experienced with rabbits, but froma lot of the info I've read on the forum, this seems all a littleoutrageous to me, especially the swimming in the pool three times aweek. I'm sorry but I just don't know how to respond to that.

I thought so too... but being relatively new tothis forum, I was scared to come right out and say it... plus it seemedalmost too obvious :X

Clem,

I commend you on a well spun yarn! Quite a tall tale indeed! I did find it to be a good read and very entertaining.

I would recommend feeding copious quantities of "lead" wool, available from most plumbing supply companies. The lead should take care of a the diahrrea problem, as well as tame this litter critter down some. Nine foot high jump sand 32 mph swimming speeds can be problematic to boats in the area and high way overpasses do not meet the nine foot minimum, so he might end up as overpass "kill" if you are not careful.

Unfortunately, his 17 inch feet will only get you a yawn around here as our resident Flemish giants routinelymake that number, while the largest, one Apollo Wollo, has been said to have broken the 18" mark. His Mom forever carps here about the high cost of sneakers to fit him.

Another giant here, Cali, has been known to strike fear in the hearts of potential suitors to our moderator, Carolyn, for it appeared the rabbit might make a meal of them, the suitors that is.You might take Kanga off the creamed corn diet and try other such dietary extremes.
