As others have said the netherland dwarfs are NOT calm or sedate. They are very active and spunky. They love to run around, investigate stuff and do their own thing. They will let you pet them but they don't usually like being held. I love them. I think they're really fun and they are low...

Thats awesome. I can attest to the fact that animals in general can be great therapy but since I don't really like large animals(idk why) and I love rabbits they do just relieve stress and make you happier.

When I had my holland lop and neth dwarf we left them out at night probably after like 4wks of owning them. We put up boxes to block the bedroomm(it was an efficiency) and the bathroom and they both seemed to get that those were no go zones.

My rabbits both loved beer bottle caps and would push them around with their noses and pick them up and carry them around, that and a small non treated wicker ball stuffed with hay.
I bought chew blocks etc and they would never touch them and almost seemed to be offended by them lol...
From what I've read they are supposed to be a really relaxed and calm rabbit. This will be my 3rd so I'm used to how its sort of a toss up lol.
Lucky for me most of my house is tile so clean up will be easy:D

Oh ok yea I can imagine if it doesn't have the guard hairs its a pain but from all I've seen most jerseys have a lot of guard hairs and are the easier of the longer hair rabbits to care for as long as you do brush them and its easier once they mature which mine has already done:)
