When is the right time to say Goodbye?

I forgot to mention, yes, I have been giving her meloxicam for the past few days. I think it makes her comfortable enough to try to eat and drink, but I don’t know how good her life is if that’s the best it’s going to get. Plus she has no interest in hay and pellet food. I think I am going to...

When is the right time to say Goodbye?

Hi guys. I am struggling with whether or not to take my bun to get put to sleep or not. She’s been in her litter box for about a day and a half and grinds her teeth a decent amount. She was diagnosed with a mass in her belly that has spread to her lungs as cancer a few days ago. Her eyes mostly...

    Lung cancer/belly mass - painkillers?

Hi guys. I’ve posted on here a fair amount with issues I’ve had with my rabbit regarding a bout of GI stasis and just other health related issues. I took her to the vet for around the fifth time again and decided to do some xrays. They found a belly mass and lung cancer, which spread to the...

Did I give my rabbit a heart attack?

I took her to a vet this morning and they seemed mildly unconcerned honestly. They said it sounded like she just needed rest. She ate just a tiny bit more just now which is good, but it wasn’t anything too substantial.... I’m going to take her first thing tomorrow if she’s still the same. I...

Did I give my rabbit a heart attack?

So I woke up this morning and Phoebe (my English lop) was starting to pee on the rug! She sometimes does this as she hasn’t been fully litter box trained, but she’s okay at it. Anyway, I got off the couch and scooped her up and put her in her litter box, but she kind of looked dazed and just...

Omg! Is this pee or diarrhea?

Well, told the vet and they told me to keep an eye on her. I think the fact that she still had a lot of energy and that she was eating and pooping was a great sign. Her pellets are normal, she pees a regular color (if that was pee, I guess I’m still not sure?) and she’s still spunky. So for now...

Omg! Is this pee or diarrhea?

I thought so too since it was such a dark brown, but if that’s the case, it looks like it’s gone back to normal. Still skeptical and will update later!

Omg! Is this pee or diarrhea?

The urgent care in my area doesn’t open until 2 (it’s like an “after hours” service). I’ve changed out her blankets so I can see if there’s anything new from her until then and will keep an eye on her to see if it returns to normal. She seems like her active self and running around everywhere...

Omg! Is this pee or diarrhea?

Hi guys! In a panic. I just woke up to this in my rabbit’s pen. Is this urine or diarrhea? Some background information is that she recently got over gi stasis/two weeks of antibiotics (yesterday was her first day without them) and also, we’ve been making a slow food switch to a healthier food...

Stomach moving? And also, obsessive digging?

Thanks! That makes me feel better. I ended up taking her to urgent care again (I think I’ve spent around $600 on this rabbit now) and the vet didn’t hear any gut sounds, although I swear I heard some right before. Maybe there were some previously and that’s what I saw, and it was the last of the...

Stomach moving? And also, obsessive digging?

For sure not pregnant, but it looks like it. Wondering if it is gas.

Stomach moving? And also, obsessive digging?

Accepting help on either topic! First: My rabbit’s stomach can be seen MOVING. Is that weird? It looks like those bugs from The Mummy that get under the skin! Is she okay? She acts normal enough, but I just wanted to know if it’s her digesting? Second: Recently, I was told to get a softer...

    First experience with GI Stasis

I’m in the same boat as well. I have so many supplies to make my bun feel better, but it’s extremely stressful to her to give them. I keep wondering if I’m making it worse by stressing her out so much. Interested to see any replies on this. Good luck [emoji3590][emoji3590][emoji3590]

    GI stasis? Bloating? How long?

^ sorry, has NOT pooped in 12 hours. Going on 13 now.

    GI stasis? Bloating? How long?

Ugh, this is probably my 3rd if 4th post. How long have your buns had GI stasis before, if they’ve had it? What’s the longest it’s lasted? My bun has been up and down since Friday night, and it’s torture. Been to a vet twice and medicating her. As of recently she has pooped in 12 hours. Also...
