Should Two Reed Eyed White Rabbits Produce REW Offsprings

Thanks for your reply! And you're getting red eyed sable point Polishes from your stocks? Inhave no access to pedigree but I've been checking the dam since yesterday and I can see that there is a very light almost unnoticeable brown marking on her tail. Im also no expert with color genetics.

Should Two Reed Eyed White Rabbits Produce REW Offsprings

I checked on the Genetic color calculator on one website that 2 REW's should produce 100% REW offsprings. But when I bred my 2 REW LH 3 months ago, the Dam gave birth to 5 red-eyed kits, 3 of them are lightly marked sable points! Is this normal? The only time I had her free ranging (for exercise...

At What Point A Mother Rabbit Can Still Adopt A New Set of Kits?

Thanks for your reply! That's what I did earlier, I removed the nestbox so they can freely reach to their foster mother any time. I'll try your suggestion on force feeding. I believe she's still producing milk due to the size of her nipples. I hope this will work out.

At What Point A Mother Rabbit Can Still Adopt A New Set of Kits?

Hello! I have a Dam who just died to day to which I believe is a choking incident as she kept on gasping for air as her nose pointed upwards with his neck seeming to try swallowing something. I didn't get a chance to treat or do a first aid as a few seconds later after I noticed her, she...

Is there a term a term for a rabbit that is an offspring of a purebreed and F1 crossbreed?

@SableSteel agreed! Found out an article in wikipedia about backcrossing and they would sometimes the "BC" acro. And then a study stating that each breeds are more genetically similar with each other than with the whole domesticated rabbits overall (don't wanna push on this). (Backcrossing -...

Is there a term a term for a rabbit that is an offspring of a purebreed and F1 crossbreed?

Thanks all for your answer. It's such that, these terms (F1, F2, etc.) are widely used in my location. I'm not from US, Canada, or Europe so... Even big farms in here use these terms basically for purification purposes to achieve the desired trait and maybe for marketing purposes as well.

Is there a term a term for a rabbit that is an offspring of a purebreed and F1 crossbreed?

I don't think it is F2 if the purebreed is not even related to the F1, and it is applied only in filial generations.

Should I Choose A Doe or A Buck To Upgrade The Quality?

Already did thanks! Thanks for your answer! I also have the same observation with does, I wonder if they just said that buck characteristics are more dominant coz bucks are harder to out compared to does.

Should I Choose A Doe or A Buck To Upgrade The Quality?

Breeders in my location suggested that I use a buck cause bucks have stronger blood, hence the higher probability of producing better quality based on standards. I want to pick a doe tho to easily reach F4 in breeding coz bucks can be used earlier for breeding than does.

Until When Can A Dam (Mother Rabbit) Accept New Babies For Adoption?

Until When Can A Dam (Mother Rabbit) Accept New Babies For Adoption?

1 last. I have observed them from one day and I noticed they wasn't able to nibble on their hay. The mother always drink their water until empty instead of drinking from her nipple drinker. One last bunny remaining and it likes pellets and eats a lot of it. What I did now is I put partition for...
